It got in the way of the enjoyment of the good parts of the story. I really like some of the story, and some of the characters, but I felt that I had to “suspend disbelief” too much of the time. You think they will do something, but they do the opposite. You never feel like you really know most of the characters in this book. Some of the characters are real, but many of them don’t act logically, they are apparently there just to add to the twists. A few of the puzzles could be more puzzling, they seem like a middle school student would figure out what was going on. Too bad that some of the surprises aren’t that realistic.
